End of first semester

Hooray... At last i have finished the first semester. It was supposed to finish last Friday, where three assignments were to be submitted. But, my lecturer Jo reckoned that there would definitely be many of us here who had not even started writing a word for her assignment, therefore postponed her paper to be submitted on Monday. I however did not really care about the postponed date (Monday), because those few days in weekend would make not much of a difference to my assignment progress. So, I finalised my paper and submitted all assignments on last Friday. Here goes the FREE man...
Last few days were kinda interesting for me, coz i spent most of my time playing game, sleeping, and of course hanging out in the city - trying new fish and chip, shopping, and enjoying the winter breeze. For instance, yesterday, i had an enjoyable day out with the guys here. We went to this one fish and chip shop at New Farm. It was awesome. My friend and i purchased a set of cods, chips, seafood sticks, and calamari which only cost us $7 per person. Sounds not too bad aint? More importantly, these stuffs were real fresh. So, i didn't whinge much bout the price and so on.
After that filling lunch, we headed back to the city using CityCat (a contemporary ferry used by people). We went to few shops checking out gadgets and clothes. It looked like all World Cup jerseys cost $110 (stg like that). And the Teamgeist (World Cup official Ball) costs $150. Gosh~ So expensive. We went to JB Hifi (gadget store), and checked out the latest gadget available. The gorgeous Ipod nano captured my interest, as i began to think of buying it. Hmm, 2Gb $296... sound expensive or reasonable? Anyway, I gotta shift my mind not thinking of buying all these expensive stuffs, coz my trip to New Zealand will definitely requires me to spend lots of money... and i mean lots of them. I need to start saving money already, after travelling to such a distance far, and to Sydney and Melbourne when i come back later.
Talking about the trip to New Zealand, I sorta hav this double feelings. One month ago when i was pilled up with all ma assignments, I felt extremely eager and enthuasistic to go there. But, now that i am 2 days away before arriving there, i feel happy and excited of course; but on the other hand, a lit down. Why? Well, not many reason lar. just one - simply because my saving money will be gone the next time i arrive back at Brisbane. Hahaha. Anyway, i can't really make myself think of all this money thingy, coz money come and go. The world doesn't move by havin people saving their money, and not spending it. So, money comes and goes. To get back the money, i've got to earn it back. As simple as that. Ha!
I am supposed to start packing my luggage already. But i have not. Ha! So lazy... i can still see my luggage sleeping on the cupboard in front of me. I guess i've got to start packing today. I have no plan of what to do today. Maybe want to pack first, then have lunch, then play Sims 2, then sleep, watching tv. Here goes all the lazy activities.
Anyway, I have to tell you that right now i am reading Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. Well, i have watched the movie already; and found it interesting to read the book. The book wasn't mine, i borrowed it from Hazwan. So thanx to u Wan. Will certainly read it when i am in the plane to Wellingtonm (since i have got no food nor entertainment in Virgin Blue). That's it lar. Will update more later.

i can now officially proclaim that i like travelling!! :) sitting on the plane, looking into the clouds; bringing my feet to different places; sitting trains and buses and trams (and ferries, hopefully); eating ice-cream; seeing different things and ppl; and clicking away on the camera.

am planning to go back to sydney and melb again next year, and maybe brisbane. too bad you won't be around :( but wil check out cool places that you recommend k? :)
